Yep! I fell for the counterfeit version on instagram....bought 4 of them for myself and 3 buddies with 55+ year old eyeballs. The product I fell for didn't even come close to a functional piece. Talwegco's counterfeit warnings are apt. Shockingly, my order from the fraudulent group did arrive after 2 months via Spain where it sat clearing customs for 2 weeks. Shame on me and sorry to TalwegCo for getting repped off by fraudsters.

The tool is great for medium beaded and non beaded hooks. Does not work well for small 18-22 size hooks, especially beaded. Also very challenging with 5x to 7x tippet. Unfortunately, I bought it for the small stuff.

I have to say it’s a really amazing piece of flying tying equipment tying .
My fingers got frostbite when I was in the Navy .
Tying small flys were getting really difficult .
Know I enjoy fly fishing .

THIS IS THE THIRD TIPPET THREADING DEVICE THAT I HAVE PURCHASED, AND ITS DESIGN IS THE BEST OF THREE. THE ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT THE SMALLEST SLOT IS NOT AS ACCURATELY MOLDED AS THE TWO LARGEST SLOTS. ALSO, FLY DESIGNS LIKE THE HARROP'S LAST CHANCE, WHICH HAS CDC HANGING OVER THE HOOK EYE, ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TIE. FOR SIMPLE PARACHUTE PATTERNS, YOU CAN INSERT THE EYE INTO THE SLOT BY WETTING THE FLY AND PULLING THE HACKLE BACK . AND BE SURE TO PRACTICE A LOT BEFORE GOING OUT ON THE RIVER!
